Hm, maybe it's possible to sew a bedsheet into a 2-side daki? I wonder if it would work since girls lean more in a middle of the sheet. I've seen bonus figures in anime dvd boxes (like it happened with ENTRY #1305 ), but I've never heard about bonus dakis. #76975208Wow, a good choice with Touhou tapestry! The art is brilliant and a color pallete really matches Scarlet mansion's character cast :).Nowadays though these boxsets are like 1,500 yen each which is pretty great for what you get (though still pretty expensive if you choose to get all of them). There was also a normal "affordable" edition that was just the dvd and still costed 5,000 yen per 2 episodes. These released alongside a different limited edition that came with different stuff (a bonus disc and a tarot card). The dakis are cool, but they are like the cheapest kind of dakis (150cm and polyester material). The dvds don't come with any extras and the booklets are really flimsy and insubstantial. I know that anime dvds in Japan are extremely expensive, but even then this seems pretty crazy. Not too sure what to do with the bedsheets.ġ30,000 yen for 26 episodes is pretty ridiculous which is what these boxsets costed when they came out. I'll definitely get a body pillow to go with them soon. I never owned any dakimakura covers before and saw how cheap these Dakis are. I think I can enjoy it though if I go in knowing it's not completely faithful. I pretty much need to watch the anime now even though from what I hear it's not that great. Feels great to own something large to represent Umineko in my collection since my Maria prize figure isn't really cutting it just by itself. These boxes take up a lot of space and look really premium next to the only other anime dvds I have which are like Funimation S.A.V.E dvds. Each box also comes with a little booklet with some sketches. In total there is 7 dakimakuras and 6 bedsheets. The boxes with 1 character comes with a bedsheet, while the boxes with 2 characters comes with a dakimakura (Exception is Jessica who comes with a daki). Each boxset originally costed 10,000 yen (130,000 yen for the entire set!) for 2 episodes each.Įach one comes with either a dakimakura or a bedsheet. The anime doesn't have the best artwork from what I've seen, but in general I think these boxarts look pretty nice. Here is how the fronts of the boxsets look. Never watched the anime, but I'm a huge fan of the visual novel and am pretty starved of Umineko merchandise so I decided to get these boxsets. Now onto the main topic of this article which will be the Umineko dvd boxsets. Touhou in general has a lot of really great looking tapestries, but this is my favorite of the ones I've seen so far. Ordered the boxsets from Suruga-ya for about 13,000 yen and got the tapestry from Melonbooks for about 3,000 yen.Ībsolutely love how this tapestry looks. Never did anything like this before, but this will be my first loot post! I just received all of the Umineko Gold Edition Boxsets + a Touhou B2 Tapestry today.
